We always knew it. During those early courtship years with Him, He told us. We heard Him speaking to us as we read His word for the very first time. He showed us right away; He did not hide it. We accepted it way back then, when we were young. That was years ago. We always knew this was a significant part of His plan for His people. He told us; we believed Him. We began to ready our hearts.

Then we got Churched. In some places they strictly emphasized that no one could know anything about what would happen. Some said we were not supposed to know. Others taught that it did not matter because we would not be here anyway; we would be “outta here” as the saying goes. In some circles Eschatology was reduced to jokes about “The Rapture”. Jocular declarations of adhering to the”Pan-trib” view was the favorite joke to crack. We were taught Jacob was “them” so Jacob’s trouble was also for “others”. They told us “they”–those others– were God’s chosen people… They told us that Matthew 24 was for “them”. They taught that in this chapter Jesus is not even speaking to “us” at all. In Revelation, they taught God stops speaking to us in Rev. 4:1. They taught that the rest of the book is for “them”. Those saints in Revelation were someone else. And Daniel? The saints there were also some other group of people, off in the future. Did they really believe all this? Did they experience the mental torture that comes with denial? Did they experience the headache of cognitive dissonance?

But all through this journey through official Church “doctrine”, we never stopped believing what God had revealed to us in the beginning. We knew the truth and kept it deep in our hearts, during our journey through all these Churches. Inside Christianity, we rarely spoke aloud of what we knew was the truth. And now we see that this reality is beginning to dawn more and more on the multitudes in the Churches. It is no longer just another theological option in Eschatology. There is a rumbling. People are hearing things. They are wondering. They are beginning to talk. They speak quietly, carefully, under their breath, to one another. Could it really be true after all? Yes, there is a rumor going around…..

((….. “The Tribulation” is for the Church. It is for the Christians….))

My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD.And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler. Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her. Jeremiah 51:45-47

“Now I have come to give you an understanding of what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision pertains to the days yet future.” Daniel 10:24

“and as soon as they finish shattering the power of the holy people, all these events will be completed.” Daniel 12:7

“Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations on account of My name.” Matthew 24:9

And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ. Revelation 12:17

And it was given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them… Revelation 13:7

And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death. Revelation 12:11
